Top 5 Best Products to Buy for Making High Quality Professional Looking YouTube Videos

Leading the way as the second largest search engine in the world, YouTube is striving to make online video ever more popular. But what does a person need to buy in order join the club and create high quality professional looking videos? That will be answered by the end of this article.

1.
A full HD Camcorder or DSLR is a must have if you interested in creating top of the line high quality YouTube videos with a professional look and feel. If your just getting started you can always start off with a regular standard camera, iPhone or maybe even an Apple laptop webcam but once you start gaining momentum you'll most definitely want to upgrade.

2. Buying or already owning an HD Laptop is also important. This will ensure that you can edit and play HD videos on your home computer. There is always a work around if you own a standard definition computer but it's a little tricky and it takes a lot of time do which may be time you don't have. First off, you'll have to convert your files to standard definition to play them on a standard definition laptop. Then you'll need to find a decent program that allows you to edit your videos in standard definition and swap them in the editing process with your high definition original to produce them in HD. This process is known as using "proxy" or "shadow" files and can easily take 30 minutes to a few hours depending on the speed of your computer.

3. Buying an incredible camera is just the beginning. You'll also need to invest in some high quality studio lights to finish the job. When you see a video on YouTube that's incredibly defined and looks professional you can rest assured that the owner's lighting is pretty good. Depending on where your located and the time of day, you may be able to film a video with natural lighting but this is impossible to do during all hours of the day or better yet the late evening or midnight.

4. Video Editing Software is a must have unless your set on using Movie Maker, the standard editing software that comes with Windows. No one really uses Movie maker to edit their videos since most of MM's software can't handle high definition. Here are some of the more useful and popular editing programs: Sony Vegas, Power Director, Pinnacle and iMovie.

All of the programs above support high definition clips and each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses. Sony Vegas is feature rich but it's incredibly complex and hard to use with a very long learning curve while Power Director and Pinnacle is recommended for beginners. iMovie is for Apple and Mac users.

5. The least expense item on your shopping list will most likely be your tripod. Tripods are the camera stands that you'll use to support your camera while you film. You can probably get a good one for less then $20 on the internet or at store near you. Get one that's tall enough for full body filming at semi-close ranger without having to tilt your camera upward. It's always more flattering to film with straight to downward angle then it is to film with your camera tilted up.
